Ozone generators are devices that can produce ozone in a certain system, as can be guessed from their name. In order to understand the working logic and benefits of these generators, it is useful to know ozone first. Ozone is essentially defined as an inorganic molecule formed as a result of the combination of three oxygen atoms.
Ozone gas has a light blue color to be seen slightly by eye at room temperature and has a clear odor to feel . Ozone also protects the world against harmful radiation from the sun. Being an extremely successful germicidal is the most important reason why it is widely used in disinfection systems. We can say that the ideal method for the artificial production of ozone is ozone generators.
How Does Ozone Generator Operate?
Ozone production occurs when the oxygen molecules separated into oxygen atoms by an energy source in the ozone generator collide with the dissociated oxygen atoms inside and turn into O3 (ozone) molecule.
The oxygen-carrying gas fed into the generator turns into ozone molecules inside by a high voltage alternating current applied to the dielectric discharge gap in the generator. The ozone gas produced is contacted with water by means of ceramic diffusers placed at the bottom of the ozone contact tank. Ozone has an excellent oxidizing capacity on free radicals, pollutants and molecules that are formed when dissolved in water. Excess ozone gas dissolved in water is taken from the contact tank and disposed of by the ozone destruction unit and discharged to the atmosphere.
The main equipment required for ozone production in the ozone system are as follows:
- Air Preparation System
*Compressor, cooling group, air tank
*Dryer, filters
- Ozone Generator
- Ozone Distribution System - Contact tank ceramic diffusers
- Ozone Destruction Unit
- Ozone Generator Cooling Water Group
- Control Board
- Power Distribution Panel
Why disinfection with Ozone?
- Ozone is the strongest and most powerful natural disinfectant with high oxidation power.
- Ozone is obtained from the air we breathe or from pure oxygen.
- Contact time with water is very short (3-10 minutes).
- No residue occurs after disinfection, and leaves no taste or odor.
- Operation of the ozone system is easy and safe.
- Ozone generator systems have low operating and maintenance costs.
Sisdoz has proven itself in the sector with its long years of experience. Sisdoz has gained the trust of its customers with its strong brand DeNora and its knowledgeable and experienced technical team in ozone disinfection systems, and has managed to become the company whose success is the most talked about in the sector; even today continues to establish ozone generator disinfection facilities in Turkey and surrounding countries.
Sisdoz A.Ş., which has signed many turnkey projects, handles the project from the very beginning, produces tailor-made design solutions by making field visits, designs the most suitable ozone generator systems and performs complete installations in the field as well as equipment supply. Sisdoz provides spare parts, service, maintenance and on-site application services by carrying this application and operation experience that it offers to its customers from pre-sales to after-sales with its engineer-based expert staff, and performs annual maintenance agreements and periodic maintenance for ozone disinfection systems.
Ozone Generator Models
Ozone generators have different models depending on the application areas and the desired disinfection capacity.
With different models with a production capacity of 40 g / hour to 113 kg / hour, a complete system design can be made by using the appropriate ozone generator and necessary accessories & equipment by determining the most ideal criteria according to the need.
